Here at Makey Makey, we're always striving to find new ways to help you inspire creativity and hands-on learning in your classrooms. Today, we are thrilled to share a sneak peek into what we’ve been working on behind the scenes: a brand-new Grades 3-5 Makey Makey Computer Science Journey!

Our goal is to infuse a standards-aligned computer science curriculum with Makey Makey's open-ended, playful, inventive, creative spirit into an easy to teach set of classroom lesson plans and materials. 

Let's Meet Up!

We're excited to announce that the Makey Makey team will be attending the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) conference this year from July 13-15 in New Orleans. 

If you are attending in person, we would love to connect and provide a preview of some of the lessons. You can find us at the STEMfinity booth ready with hands-on demos and example lesson plans for you to try out this fall! We will also be hosting an informal info session and meet-and-greet specifically for educators interested in the beta testing lessons for the program. Stop by the booth to get more details on the location and time of our meetup. It will be a great opportunity to meet the team, ask questions, and learn more about what’s ahead.

Even if you can't make it to CSTA this year, we will have other opportunities for you to view the materials and ask questions, so please don't hesitate to talk to us at other events or reach out via email at workshops@joylabz.com.
