Javel Perriel

Music Educator/Author

Javel Perriel is a music educator located in south Florida. Javel immigrated from Jamaica in 2008 and uses music to connect students to cultures around the globe. Javel is passionate about incorporating STEM in music education and frequently writes and presents on the topic. He shares ideas for the classroom on Instagram (@mr.perriel) and released his first children’s book, Music is Bananas, in the summer of 2022. Javel is a proud plant parent along with his wife, Kat. 

Sarah Gulish

Co-Founder/CEO of F-flat Books

Dr. Sarah Gulish has been teaching music at the secondary level since 2007. She is an active writer, researcher, and clinician whose work centers on creativity and innovation. In 2019, she founded the fair-pay publishing company, F-flat Books. She uses F-flat to support the work of authors around the world and to encourage equity and innovation in music education. Sarah lives in Philadelphia, PA with her three creative kids and drummer husband.
