New to Makey Makey?

Check out sections: "Intro to Everyday Inventing" and "Musical Guides." One of my all time favorite beginner guides is the "Fruit Piano" project by Yui at Conductive Music. Another fun beginner project is the "Super Easy Floor Piano." In this project, students can build a floor piano out of conductive tape and learn more about how to create a project that will complete a circuit before delving into the world of coding.

Tinkering with Circuits

Maybe your students have made every piano under the sun? Then it's time to start taking inventions to the next level! These projects start building coding skills or DIY maker skills. Learn to craft your own Operation game or even an interactive floor maze!

From there, challenge your students with the Simple Circuit Challenge: An Output Guide or let them delve further into paper circuits with these stations in the Tinkering with Circuits guide.

Physical Computing

In our Physical Computing section, you'll find guides for teaching kids how to control the digital world with the physical one!  Create a fraction generator, learn to program click, or even create your own data tracking machine!
