Make Music Day

Join the worldwide celebration of music on June 21!

Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Our Mission in this Jam Session:

• We believe the presence of Makey Makey at Make Music day will build upon our audience of artists, musicians, and at educators.
• This jam session will allow us to focus on music education and help support music and art being made at home.
• We believe by introducing our playful learning tool to the Make Music Day community we can further support learning through play.

Maker Music Festival

We began jamming with Maker Music Festival in 2021 and are happy to continue this work in 2022! 

Maker Music Festival is a thriving international community of innovative music makers. Last year we debuted our new Sampler app during Maker Music Festival!
