Do the Invention Launchpad kits come with a Makey Makey board?
Yes! If you want it to. There are two options for purchasing each Invention Launchpad: one bundled with a Makey Makey Classic, and one without (for those who already own a Makey Makey). You will need to have a Makey Makey board to complete the invention project.
What age group are these kits best for?
Invention Launchpads are designed for inventors ages 8+ and are perfect for kids (and families) who love hands-on play, creativity, and building things that actually work.
Can adults enjoy Invention Launchpads these too?
100%! Parents, grandparents, and even older siblings love joining in. Whether it’s helping out with assembly, rocking out on the Keytar, or battling aliens with the Retro Joystick, these kits are creative fun for the whole family.
Do I need any special tools or supplies to build my invention?
Nope! Each kit comes with everything you need to complete the project (aside from a computer). Make sure you have a Makey Makey too – either bundled with your Invention Launchpad or one you already have at home. You'll be inventing straight out of the box!

How long does it take to build?
Most kids can complete an Invention Launchpad project build in a single sitting. The fun part? Once it’s built, you can keep reinventing and adding to your creation. There are no time limits and no limits to your imagination!
